SMS Terms & Conditions
South Nassau Physical Therapy, P.C. — last updated September 14, 2026
These terms apply to the text messaging program operated by South Nassau Physical Therapy, P.C. (“South Nassau Physical Therapy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By signing up for text messages from us, you agree to these terms.
1. Program description
South Nassau Physical Therapy sends text messages to patients and prospective patients who have asked to receive them. Messages relate to:
- Appointment scheduling
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Responses to questions you send us
- Other patient-service or administrative communications
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.
2. How to sign up
You may sign up in either of these ways:
- Text the word START to (516) 307-0545 from the mobile number you want us to use. You will receive a confirmation message.
- Check the box requesting text messages on your new-patient intake form at the clinic.
We do not enroll anyone automatically. A number is added only when the person who uses it asks us to add it.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your appointments and on messages you send us.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. These charges come from your mobile carrier under your own plan. South Nassau Physical Therapy does not charge you for text messages.
5. How to get help
Reply HELP to any message from us, or call us at (516) 307-9166.
6. How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message from us at any time. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not send you further text messages unless you sign up again.
Stopping text messages does not stop us from contacting you by phone, email, or mail where that is appropriate or required.
7. Consent is not required for care
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving treatment or purchasing any service from South Nassau Physical Therapy. If you would rather we reach you another way, tell us and we will.
8. Your information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are never sold, shared, or transferred to another organization for that organization’s marketing or promotional purposes.
For full detail on what we collect and how we use it, see our Privacy Policy.
9. Keep health details out of text messages
Text messaging is not a secure channel. We keep the content of our messages general and do not include detailed health information. Please do not send sensitive health details by text.
Never use text messaging for an emergency. In the event of an emergency, call 911.
10. Carriers and delivery
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, MetroPCS, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is outside our control.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always posted on this page with its last-updated date.
